Farmland Conservation for Future Generations

Today on The Back 40 we are joined by Cathy Lennon, General Manager at the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA).  Cathy is from Perth County and has held many positions within the agricultural industry including with Ontario Sheep Farmers, Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers, Agricorp and Farm Credit Canada.  The OFA is the largest general farm organization in Ontario that represents and champions the interest of Ontario farmers.  This includes government relations, farm policy, research, community representation, media relations and member support.  Cathy joins us to discuss the issue of farmland preservation and what is being done to help protect farmland across Ontario.  Why is it important?
